Welcome to Kearny SCT (Science, Connections & Technology), Visual Art & Design.
This site is intended to be used as an interface for students in Visual Art & Design, as well as for a place where parents or guardians of our students can connect with their instructor, Mr. Wing, and keep informed on current projects.
Visual Art & Design is an entry-level drawing and digital illustration course designed to allow students the experience of working in an artistic atmosphere and to participate in the processes used by artists to create works of art. These processes include conceptualizing, designing, drawing, digital painting and completion of artwork in a variety of different media. Working through these processes, students not only gain an appreciation for the artistic process but also an insight into their own creative abilities. This course will give students a framework to explore other creative outlets independently. Visual Art & Design is a part of a pathway, and is a prerequisite for Digital Art & Mixed Media, as well as Computer Graphics courses at Kearny SCT.
Assignment notes and audio recordings of class lectures can be accessed on the Lecture tab (link). Audio links in mp3 format are embedded and linked to in some of the text in Lectures. Some of them are also posted(in reverse order -- with the most recent one first) on the Links page.
